Here is a preliminary drawing of prince Siegfried from the story Swan Lake. I wanted the prince to have a melancholy look.

The Lumpy Pie Bakery

Here is The Lumpy Pie Bakery! All the mice work very hard to make the best breads and sweets in town. You can almost smell the fresh baked apple pie!

Here is the color sample for “The Lumpy Pie Bakery”. It shows the palette of colors I used for my painting. Doing these color samples helps me pick and match colors while I paint. You might notice that all but one of the colors (sky blue) is painted over a light yellow. That is because I usually paint with a “ground” which is a light color under everything to set the mood or tone.
